Clouds Animation in Corona Renderer

Ciro Sanino. 2022-09-27 09:52 tutorial  > Corona  > modeling

Discover how to bring your scenes to life with realistic clouds animation using Corona Renderer. Follow Evermotion's tutorial to learn the techniques and settings required to create captivating and dynamic cloud effects in your renders.

In the previous article here on Evermotion we saw how to create clouds with the next Corona 9! Now it’s time to animate them: Do you know that it also is so easy?

Here some tips:

  • First of all, you need to animate the offset in order to see the clouds moving on a direction. So, for this purpose use the keyframe animation technique to animate the value Offset X or Offset Y, depending on how your scene is oriented and in which direction you want to see the clouds moving on.
  • Do the clouds move with the same shape? Absolutely not! So, to get the shape changing over the time the other parameter you need to animate is PHASE! The range of this value is 0 to 1, so use small differences to get a nice effect. For example, animate it from 0 to 0.4

Watch this video to see how I apply these two simple settings:
