Living Room in 3ds Max - Tip of the Week

Michal Franczak 2021-07-06 10:56 tutorial  > 3ds MAX  > modeling

Behind the scenes of 3ds Max interior scene from Archinteriors vol. 59.

This interior scene comes from Archinteriors vol. 59. It was modeled in 3ds Max and rendered in V-Ray. You can purchase this scene or the entire collection from Evermotion Shop.

AI59_005_Cam_01

Final render straight out of V-Ray frame buffer. We used combined lighting of VraySun / VraySky and interior lights.

Isometric view.

slice21_18

We placed some trees models outside the window that is seen by the camera. To avoid lagging, we excluded drawing geometry of not selected models in viewport.

slice20_19

A base plane with grass texture - it will not be visible in the camera so it has just a green tiled material.

slice19_22

The ground material is pretty simple, as we don't plan to make close-ups, we don't need anything more complicated here.

slice18_23

1st floor - we have additional lights here to make the staircase a bit brighter. Without them it would be too dark and without details.
