Hello 3D Artists, my Name ist Vasileios Lagaris and I’m from Greece but I was born in Germany on an island at the north sea near Danmark. The island is very small with round about 20.000 inhabitants. The island is called Sylt and has four lighthouses. You can leave the island by ferry boat transfer or by train. There is a railway who was buildet on a dam. It is a beautiful island with very green nature and a nice sandy beach. In case of stormy weather the traffic transfer was cancelled. The traffic transfer is the only way to leave the island. Sometimes we feel like looked up and we just wanted to escape for a couple of hours. We was taking a sailing boat from my friend and we was sailing out for some hours only to have the perfect getaway but we never fear the stormy sea because there was one lighthouse. The feeling was great. Could you imagine forgetting the stormy sea and the sounds of crashing waves and anxious birds around you? There was a big tower with a white and clear light. It feels like: “Don´t fear the sea guys! I´m here like the rock in the breakers/surf. I will show you the way back home!” I tried to create an image like this. I have modeled the lighthouse and the house from the original lighthouse. I found some pictures of it and an architectural model. I have put a lot of details like rust and dirt decals in the final image. There are a couple of little details like a bottle with a letter inside in the ocean. Take a look of it. I hope you will found it and also I hope you enjoy my picture. I have found some youtube tutorials to model the cliff and some tricks to model a rope. I have never done this before. So it was a very good expirience for me. I used AutoCAD and 3ds Max for the modeling and Vray as render engine. Mass FX and Phoenix FD for the ocean texture. Most of the textures I was created by myself. I used a lot of decals from cgtextures.com. My models are from 3dsky.org and evermotion.org. Final Image postproduction with Photoshop. Thank you very much and good look to all of you! Best regards
