The Sun Positioner now contains a new physically based SkyAtmosphere component that enables you to render an atmosphere that can be viewed from the ground or from the air, and to dynamically change the time of day.

The new Sun Positioner Plugin creates a single actor containing the Directional Light, a Skylight and the new physically based Sky Atmosphere Component. The rendering system follows physically based principles with scattering, ozone absorption and light multi-scattering. The time of day can be changed to dynamically update the effect. The default setup mimics the Earth's atmosphere but it can be edited to create other-worldly effects.

The Sky Atmosphere not only creates reallistic ground views but also supports aerial perspectives and planetary atmospheres viewed from space.
