First of all i started creating the terrain, it's a basic mesh :

Then I put in a corona sun (the renderer I use is Corona render), basic backlight style lighting, as we can see in the concept :

Then I start to add details to the terrain to create a mud effect, for that I used a personal technic :
first I put a simple material with a mud texture on the diffuse and the bump :

Then I scatter over it some particles facing the camera to form very soft mud, to create a dusty effect:

I scattered also some small rock meshes with the mud material, to create hard mud effect :

This is how i scattered the different objects :

I placed manualy the mushrooms and the large plantes to get more precision and a more readable final image.

I have also adjusted the camera lens to have a nice dof effect, which gives the miniature effect

Now the modeling of the baby tree :

I started with a basic spline with the general shape of the tree, then I used the Loft compound object to give it a volume, after that I tweaked the scale using the graph that Loft offers and finaly I convert to poly and brought the small details manualy.
For the material it's a pretty basic bark material, but knowing that it's a baby tree I had to add some translucency to it using a gradiant :

after that I made the leaves which was pretty easy and basic to do, I just had to model the basic shape of it, the added the material and after that added a coronaDisplacementMod to give it some volume so it doesnt appear like flat :

at the end I decided to add some bees to give more realism to the scene so the modeling was pretty simple "not very detailed bee" here are the steps :

the wings material was a bit tricky but nothing realy complicated just a simple texture with an opacity map and a refraction map, adding a bit of translucency and it was done :
