V-Ray for 3ds Max: Get clean grass edges

PR 2023-04-17 10:32 tutorial  > V-Ray  > misc

Chaos Scatter tutorial.

Wondering how to create clean grass edges for a neat garden pathway? The new Edge trimming option in Chaos Scatter allows you to do just that, in a single click.

Chaos Scatter is a plugin for 3ds Max that allows users to scatter instances of selected objects, such as grass and rocks, onto surfaces or within specific areas using a variety of settings and controls. It offers different modes of scattering, such as on surfaces, splines, and bounding boxes, and has options to control the distribution and number of instances, randomization, collisions, and editing of individual instances.

Features include camera clipping, edge trimming, and the ability to animate parameters. It also offers control over spacing, jitter, offset, and other properties. The plugin is compatible with V-Ray 6 and Corona renderers.
