Michal Franczak 2022-08-08 10:34 tutorial  > 3ds MAX  > modeling

A scene from Archinteriors vol. 63 - "Public Places" collection.

Archinteriors vol. 63 for 3ds Max / V-Ray is a collection of ten public spaces scenes, one of them is a swimming pool. You can browse all scenes of Archinteriors vol. 63 in Evermotion Shop.

And a view from a camera.

Water material is rather simple - it is a transparent material with proper IOR value and bumpiness that simulates waves.

Roof layers. - the top layer blocks the exterior lighting, the next one is for details of the ceiling and wooden beams function as construction elements and decoration.

One of the most visible materials is a tiled wet floor of a swimming pool.

slice7_39

It is a diffuse map for tiles.

And here we have a roughness map. Black spots are puddles and increased wetness areas. We also increased wetness of some random tiles for better photorealism.

slice5_41

We used a dome light for exterior lighting that comes through light portals placed in windows.
