Render Smoke in Blender

Youtube 2017-10-03 10:19 tutorial  > Blender  > modeling

In this video, we'll be taking a look at Blender's smoke simulation engine, rendered in Cycles.

  • 0:08 - Quick Smoke
  • 2:06 - Animating the emitter
  • 4:21 - Camera and lighting
  • 9:26 - Rendering and exporting
  • 12:17 - Post production in After Effects

Smoke is contained in the domain and never leaves it and crosses it edges. Th larger domain means longer baking times, so take account on that. You can create domain from simple cube by selecting "Smoke" in properties of new cube and selecting Domain as Smoke Type.
