It Was Us Against the World

"It Was Us Against the World" is inspired by nail houses, which is what inspired the Pixar movie "Up". With the theme of City or Village, I decided to create something that brought the two together into one cohesive work. The image tells a story of resilience and resistance against the tides of change in our world today. The house and garden looks out of place because the elderly couple decided to take a stand against everything else going against them. Although the construction workers are about to knock their place down, their world and sanctury remains, despite its temporary nature. It is meant to be bittersweet and to remind us to hold onto the things that made us who we are. Created in 3ds Max and rendered in Corona Renderer with minimal post production in Photoshop. Assets from textures.com, 3dsky, 3d66 and self-modelled.
