Blender Eevee - Tree Creature Realtime Demo

MF 2018-06-05 08:49 article  > Software

Daniel Bystedt tests the potential of the new realtime render engine from Blender developers.

Blender Eevee is the new realtime renderer for Blender 2.8 viewport. It works with PBR material workflow, has it's own fast volumetric scattering solution.

It also supports SSS scattering, dynamic area lights, screen space reflections, light probes, ambient occlussion, post fx and more. In this latest video Daniel Bystedt shows the possibilities of real-time rendering in animation. The latest Blender 2.8 experimental build added support for animation and modifiers so it is now possible to create animated movies and render them directly from realtime viewport. Daniel modeled and animated tree creature in current stable version of Blender, which is 2.79, then exported it to Blender 2.8 and after lights and materials setup he achieved stunning result that you can see in the video below.

You can test Blender 2.8 experimental build right now, for the final version there is a couple months of waiting left.
