    Mechanical LIFE - Istvan Vastag

Hi! I started to working on my competition entry a few days ago. Robot design based on Bramble MK2.5 Heavy toy from the World War Robot Portable Collection by ThreeA based on designs from Ashley Wood. I really like this huge robot guy who can save humanity from any kind of threat. Still in modeling, some props are missing. updates coming soon.

I started to working on shaders, it needs more tweaking( a proper roughness map for layer #1 etc....)

So I'm done. Here is my final entry. I really enjoyed the competition I learned a lot of things(NOX and Mudbox mostly) and it was a great challenge to finish before the deadline. Softwares used: Max for modeling and UVs, Mudbox for fine details and textures, Nox for rendering of course and Photoshop for adding some particle elements(it was unavoidable) and minor tweaking(eye enhancement, sharpening, little film grain).Rendering time was 2 and a half hour at 3000px wide on my Core i7 computer with 12GB RAM. Don't forget to watch the full resolution image too!
