Modeling the room. I used marvelous designer for almost all cloth objects except the ripped wallpapers that i've made them with cloth modifier in 3ds max. I also used ray fire and standard pf system to create parts of the broken floor and floor generator http://www.cg-source.com/floorgenerator.php for the floor

Most of the textures i used, i've downloaded them from http://www.cgtextures.com/ and then customized them in photoshop to make them the way i wanted. Here the textures i've created for the walls and the ripped wallpaper

Here is an example of when i begun to texture the scene. For the wallpaper i used a 2sided vray material, one side with the diffuse color of the wall and the other side with dirty wallpaper

For lighting i used a vray sun with a vray camera and a couple of vray lights to strengthen up the atmosphere light. Once my sun was placed at the left side of the scene i used a vray light as skylight portal to strengthen up the atmosphere ligh at this room. I also used a vray light at the back side of the same corridor to slightly strengthen the light in this area. Other wise it looks completely dark and that was something that i didn't want to happen in order to generate a sunny summer light

I couldn't create an abandoned neoclassical room without adding some cobwebs, so i used the cobweb script to achieve them
