Guanajuato is one of the oldest cities from the colonial era and preserves many of its buildings from that period due to the numerous gold and silver deposits found in the region. The city can be considered divided into two parts: the historic center, declared a World Heritage Site, and the modern city, located on its outskirts. A distinctive feature of Guanajuato is that the connection between the old and new cities is through a network of tunnels, which adds a unique and fascinating element to its structure. The first time I visited Guanajuato, I was ten years old, and I was accompanied by an uncle who lived there and knew the city's history in depth, which he explained to us during the tour. The moment that impacted me the most was when we crossed the tunnels to get from the modern city to the old one. At that moment, my childish mind imagined that the tunnels were a time passage that transported us to a bygone era, allowing us to experience the past in the present and return to our own time without altering history. This image seeks to interpret that childhood experience, reflecting the world that my imagination built at that moment. Link: https://www.behance.net/gallery/204642615/Guanajuato-a-travs-de-mis-ojos
