Pie in the Sky

Part of a political project in Beirut, "Pie in the sky" is an artwork that reflects the existential crisis of Lebanese society and the Wold as a whole nowadays. The artwork is produced for Architect Hadi Mroue's proposal for a new Parliament in the Lebanese capital. You would wonder why such a simple illustration of the project, but for us, this artwork really shows the difference and similarities of the people living together. It is showcasing the silhouette of the two towers in front of each other and the gap in between, with groups of people on each side as a sign of differentiation, dispute, polarity and contrast present in the world we live in. Then comes the bridge that links the two, producing one entity; a sign of harmony, uniformity, closeness and community.
