Unreal Engine - free direct access for students

Unreal Engine 2014-10-09 13:02 article  > All

Unreal Engine 4 is now free for students through Github.

Back in August Unreal Engine developers made Unreal Engine 4 free for academic use and the response has been overwhelming. Universities and schools around the world are now integrating Unreal Engine 4 into their curriculum and their classrooms. To reduce friction even further, developers are offering a new way for students to get Unreal Engine 4!

Starting today, through a collaboration with GitHub and their newly revamped Student Developer Pack, Unreal developers are able to give students direct access to Unreal Engine 4 for free! All that’s necessary is to sign up with your student information at GitHub’s site and you will be granted a free subscription to Unreal Engine 4 to use in all of your academic endeavors. So if you’re a student, go sign up today and download the tools, check out learning resources, and show the community what you’re creating in  forums!
