No more free upgrades for ZBrush users

Indefinite upgrades for perpetual licenses are gone.

Pixologic for years had a policy of providing indefinite free upgrades to users with perpetual licences of ZBrush. After the acquisition of zbrush by maxon, this has ended. Subscription licenses automatically receive free upgrades for as long as the subscription remains active.

ZBrush perpetual customers who purchased prior to December 29, 2021, are entitled to free updates for one year following their purchase. No free upgrades will be included for customers who purchased a perpetual license after December 29, 2021.

Academic licenses may be upgraded to a commercial license at any time by submitting a Support ticket.  The cost of this upgrade is 50% of the commercial license price at time of upgrade.  Once upgraded, all assets that you created while using an academic license are now considered to have been created under a commercial license and may be used for profit.

The latest version of ZBrush, ZBrush 2022, is available for 64-bit Windows Vista+ and macOS 10.14+. New perpetual licences cost $895; subscriptions cost $39.95/month or $179.95 for six months.
