Announcing Blender Interiors for Architecture Visualization

Michal Franczak 2018-03-12 08:40 article  > All

We are announcing our first interiors collection for Blender!

Today is a big day - we are announcing our first collection of interiors for Blender to be released on March 27th! Architectural Visualization industry is constantly expanding. While 3ds Max is still the most used 3d software by arch-viz people, there are more interesting 3d apps that are entering the stage, one of them is one of the most innovative 3d applications on the market - Blender.

Blender is totally capable of being used in proffesional 3d visualizations, which was already proven by dozens of artists posting their works worldwide. It is equipped with high quality path-tracing render engine -  Cycles, capable of using CPU or GPU rendering, with node-based workflow and PBR approach in the latest revision (2.79) that comes with Principled BDSF shader.

Although it is our first interiors collection made for Blender, we decided to name it "Archinteriors vol. 43 for Blender", because it comes with 10 scenes that were initially created for 3ds Max and V-Ray, and now are re-made as .blend files for ready to render with Cycles render engine.

We totally reworked all materials, utilising new Principled BDSF shader that combines multiple layers into a single easy to use node. It is based on the Disney principled model also known as the “PBR” shader.

You can use this collection in various ways:

  • It is an asset library with hundreds of high quality props for your visualizations with shaders and materials. Just put them in your scene
  • The scene itself can be used as a template for your projects - you can place your own models (or models from other libraries). We already set up render, camera and lighting for you
  • You can use it as a learning resource, studying all settings and taking them as an entry point of developing your own high quality interior scenes with Blender.

Pre-order Archinteriors vol. 43 for Blender - Scandinavian Interiors for Blender rendered with Cycles render engine and save €30

Don't get me wrong, this looks awesome and I'm looking forward to this being completed, but I wish there was at least one exterior scene. Hopefully in the future though.
