The Dymaxion House, designed by Buckminster Fuller after WW2, was an attempt to produce cost-effective dwellings for everyone, it was constructed using pre-fabricated factory parts. Assembly was achieved using central post to which all elements were connected, also electricity and plumbing could be connected to central post, therefore minimizing the need to extend the services far into the rooms. The idea was far ahead of its time, and the project didn't become mainstream, however, I believe the time has come for this design to be reborn. I believe that a house of the future will be like an ikea furniture piece, where you can order your house parts online and construct them yourself with very simple instruction. This will reduce the cost of housing tremendously because only a few people can construct it, therefore making housing affordable for many people around the world, there are many possibilities and I am excited to enter this competition with this concept! Good luck all, Art
