Wow, this one is really great... I like your work very much, but I would like to ask you something. You say in your profile, that any beginner should not use 3dsmax, but your best works seems to be made with 3dsmax, do you mean it is only a bad software to begin with 3d?
SlayerCZ 23:00:11  |  29-09-2009
Thanks for comments! kesselhaus - No, 3dsmax is good for beginners, friendly UI and etc. but after some time you will find that 3dsmax crashing all the time, every year useless improvements for lot of $$$, lot of bugs, and etc. That is why I recommend to begin with Maya or Softimage, because their reputation is different, heh, no surprise, because these packages were udner development of different companies before acquisition from Autodesk. If you don´t want to be pissed off all the time, try to begin with different software.

thank you very much for this tipp. I think you're right, I'm trying to render an animation on 3d max since some weeks and it's crashing all the time. I even tried to divide the whole thing in short scenes and even this is not working as clean as I would expect from such a programm. I think I'll try to begin with maya. Keep working that good and sharing your great work with us. Regards.

SUPERB!!! OUTSTANDING! lighting , materials , modelling, composition. pro job. one question: i see you are a "maya person", why did you used max for this image?
SlayerCZ 10:35:52  |  15-10-2009
Thanks for comment, no I am not "maya person" I am using only 3dsmax, but despite that fact I see lot of problems with this software so I often criticise stability, bugs and oter problems of 3dsmax. Maybe later I will start with Maya, who know, so that is why I recommend it to all beginners, because they can avoid lot of problems with 3dsmax.

Well, I decided to edit it, lot of people can be confused why 3dsmax user recommend different software to use, will be better when every artist will make this decision self.
