"The Perfect Getaway" sounded to me like a fitting name for an American diner or motel in the middle of nowhere, on a not-so-driven road. A place where drivers could stop for a quick bite or rest on their journey. In the end I settled for the Diner concept instead of the motel, because it just seemed more dynamic and iconic. "Last Stop" setting takes it`s main concept and inspiration from the book title "The Restaurant at the end of the Universe" by Douglas Adams. It sounded so cool to have this asteroid Diner floating in space, where intergalactic drivers could stop for a cup of joe before their last stretch of the way to arrive on earth. Visually I also took some degree of inspiration from the Jetsons cartoons! Clean shape vehicles and characters and the floating asteroid itself I also wanted it to have the feeling of one of these houses on stilts that you see on the cartoon everywhere. I used Maxon Cinema4d with Corona Renderer and Post-production was done in Photoshop and NikFX Pro. The main source for the textures was POLIIGON, except the planets textures that came from the PLANET PACK by MITCH MYERS and the hdr which is from HDRI-HUB (loc00180_5_Space_Sky_20k). Stock models used in the scene were, the SATELLITE model which is Nasa Realistic Satellite Project by CINEMA4DTUTORIAL.NET and the characters were stock models from DAZ3D and also posed there.
