Inspired by a wonderful story of three prisoners trapped in concentration camp of Auschwitz which was based in Oswiecim (Poland). Kazimierz Piechowski, Gustaw Jaster and Jozef Lempart managed to escape on June 20th 1942. Their escape was very spectacular as they were able to acquire the Steyr 220, a car reserved for command of Auschwitz camp. They retrieved SS uniforms from the store room and passed through very well secured gate. Just because one of the poles was able to speak German fluently they passed the gate. Obviously that was one of the truly heroic story but there were much more stories like this. There are only just a few people alive left who survived this horrible time so in memory of all these people who died and with a great admiration I decided to create black and white image which has been created using 3D Max Studio with v-ray, Forest Pack and very subtle post-production in Photoshop. All the elements have been modelled by me apart of a car and 3D plants created with Forest Pack. I tried to be very accurate with modelling of the posts, wires, towers etc. I wanted to achieve very specific atmosphere of the whole image which would be very moody so I went for very early and rainy morning when the SS guards are about to find out about the escape.
