Crescent House CG Record Competition Entry

Latest personal project – my entry for the CG Record Crescent House Rendering competition. Started this off with good intentions then neglected it for a month or so resulting in a bit of a rush towards the deadline, made worse by my PC in dire need of an upgrade! Experimented with a variety of moods in this project, playing with different lighting and weather in each view just to show the different impacts such factors can have on the form and aesthetic of a building. It also adds more variety and experience with different lighting set ups to my portfolio! Usual work flow 3DS Max and Vray with a bit of Marvelous designer and Zbrush for elements of the furniture modelling – Photoshop and Aftereffects used in the post production process. Relatively happy with the set of images considering the period of neglect and rush towards the end – don’t get me wrong there would be many things I would change and improve but there isn’t a single piece of work I produce that I wouldn’t want to improve and I think it’s time to put this one to bed! EDIT: This set of images was in the top ten finalist selection which I was quite chuffed to hear! Onwards and upwards :) For the full set of high res images please visit my blog www.ryangroves3d.com
