Chaos Acquires Vyssuals: BIM Data Analytics Now Part of Enscape's Workflow

Evermotion 2026-10-29 09:53 article  > All

Chaos has acquired Vyssuals, a real-time BIM data-visualization platform for Revit and IFC models. The move extends Enscape beyond rendering into live dashboards tracking quantities, costs and design quality.

Chaos announced on 28 October the acquisition of Vyssuals, a real-time BIM data-visualization platform for Revit and Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) models. The move signals an accelerating strategic shift: Enscape is becoming a multi-purpose design intelligence tool, not just a final-stage rendering engine.

Vyssuals turns model parameters, schedules and quantities into interactive dashboards accessible directly within the design workflow. Teams can track quantities, costs, room counts and embodied carbon as designs evolve, without exporting data or rebuilding it elsewhere. The platform connects live to Revit and IFC models and updates in real-time as changes are made.

Beyond live tracking, Vyssuals offers model comparison, health checks and parameter validation. It flags missing BIM data before coordination gaps escalate into RFIs or site issues - the kind of quality assurance that traditionally required manual audits or separate QA software.

The acquisition follows two earlier Chaos moves that repositioned Enscape's role in the design process. Enscape Impact, launched in 2025 and developed with building performance specialist IES, brought performance feedback directly into the design moment. That same year, Chaos acquired EvolveLAB, adding AI-assisted render-to-design ideation (Veras) and documentation automation (Glyph). According to Allan Poore, Chief Product Officer at Chaos, "Enscape Impact brought performance feedback into the design moment; Vyssuals extends that approach to model data and design quality. The acquisition is another step toward a shared data model across Chaos products."

Iveta Cabajova, CEO of Chaos, framed the broader vision: "Visualization has long been seen as the final step in the design process, but its role goes far beyond that. We're building on our strengths to support architects and designers throughout the entire journey, from sparking the first idea to evaluating designs visually and analytically, and delivering them to clients and project stakeholders."

What this means for archviz workflows

For architectural visualization artists working in Revit-to-render pipelines, Vyssuals integration into Enscape could reshape how scenes stay synchronized with evolving designs. Live access to model data quality and parametric changes without manual rebuilds would reduce a common pain point: scenes going stale when the source model updates, forcing artists to either re-sync manually or work from outdated geometry and data.

More broadly, Chaos's three acquisitions in two years - Impact, EvolveLAB, now Vyssuals - position Enscape as a design-stage tool rather than a presentation-stage one. That shift could reshape when and how archviz work is commissioned in project workflows. If architects and designers rely on Enscape for performance analysis, design ideation and data validation from concept onward, archviz may move earlier into the process, or visualizers may be asked to support design decisions rather than only polishing final schemes.

The timing and pricing of Vyssuals integration into Enscape remain unconfirmed. Chaos has not announced whether the platform will be bundled into existing subscription tiers or offered separately.
