Press release 2020-02-05 12:49 article  > Software

Join free public beta.

Cavalry is a brand new procedural application with ambitions to make waves in the worlds of animation, design, creative coding, film, generative art, data visualisation, experiential and advertising.

Cavalry’s features:

  • Do it with Data - Put data to work with Cavalry. Whether you’re making information beautiful or creating variations of your work, import .csv files or collaborate in Google Sheets and drive your content with external data.
  • Duplication and Distribution - Create grids, position elements along paths or place shapes using image based distributions. It’s all just a few clicks away in Cavalry.
  • Whether it’s voxelising shapes, deforming along paths or oscillating position values, Behaviours are Cavalry’s ingredients to your creative recipes. Mix them together or spread them on multiple Elements to generate interesting effects.
  • Create dates, strings and values and then join, scramble or replace characters with ease. Deform text along a path or use Falloffs to animate ‘per character’ positions. Along with Variable font support, text animation is limitless.
  • Cavalry’s renderer runs on your GPU meaning animation can be played back in real time and any changes updated live. Iterating through ideas has never been more playful or as fast.
