Grant Abbit presents this first episode of Beginner series of tutorials for Blender 2.8. In tis tutorial he looks at the basics of Eevee renderer and shows how to set it for greater realism.
Topics covered:
Eevee is coming this year in the Blender 2.8 update. It offers the full functionality of most rendering engines currently on the market available directly in viewport without typical raytraced rendering, because it bases on rasterization (like for example Unreal 4 or Unity). It allows for real-time preview of PBR materials, procedural materials, volumetric effects, it uses irradiance and reflection probes for simulation of environment lighting / reflections.
