The hand is a metaphor for the people of Iran. Over 1500 candles are symbols of +1500 people who died during protests in the last five years. The girl is a symbol of Mahsa Amini, who died on 16 September 2022, and after that, a protest happened in Iran. The cheetah is Pirouz, the last Persian cheetah who died on 28 February 2023. The crashed airplane is a metaphor for PS752. On 8 January 2020, Flight PS752 was tragically shot down with two missiles only three minutes after takeoff from Tehran's IKA airport. This artwork contains over 15 Easter eggs of what happened in Iran during the last five years that may be hard to understand for people outside Iran. ••• DESIGN IDEA: The fall of 1401 ''Persian calendar| 2022-2023'' story will be in front of my eyes with this picture forever. The story of a sad year when streets were supposed to be full of autumn leaves and sneaky romantic dates at the end of its fall, but the winter that arrived early made the taste of the last kiss bloody for many of us, its harsh cold made us cry, and our hope disappeared on its dense fog. Hope for a girl who brings enthusiasm and light to this unequal battlefield with her steps on this bloody frozen ground. She is the loud voice of her people for freedom, she is still alive, and her only crime is to change the form of freedom. This story is about an era without light, cruel life, and false justice. Most of us were like ghosts whose feelings were stolen and living with our dreams because of the fear of the dark winter rather than being our true selves during this era. We fell victim to the struggle between light and shadow because some cowards thought of making money without understanding that money is a weapon for darkness. The cowards didn't know that freedom is knowledge, not money and profit, and how sad they didn't understand money is a weapon for killing poverty. Their hands are stained with the blood of buds that dried up. Who knows the end of this story when even the stars of hope have died?! Maybe we should celebrate our sadness and failures because it seems that one day the candles of desire will melt the snow and ice around it, and our tree will grow again at the hands of its people. The day when this eternal tree has leaves made of light again, maybe it will never experience any autumn. Hoping that spring will come as soon as possible for the captive tree in the new year!
