Jewish Museum Berlin | Between The lines Buildings can allude, express, evoke, invoke, comment, quote, be syntactical, literal, metaphorical and even dialectical. Buildings are not inanimate objects. They live and breathe and like humans have an inside and outside, a body and soul. A great example is the Jewish museum in Berlin. Between the lines is the story of this building. A building that express character, humanity and beauty at the same time, A building that tells a story without beginning and end and connect the dead and life into Architectural design. The spaces translate the thoughts into images that can greatly influence physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. One of the trickiest parts of Architecture is the story behind the design idea. Good buildings have their own story, they are not only spur formal and technical innovation, but they can stir emotions, provide experiences, and offer another layer of interest and perhaps meaning to the urban environment. Libeskind used his great imagination and Design Methods in order to control the day and artificial light and guide it into the building in a dramatic way. The Jewish museum has a fearless form, which represent a naked reality of its location history. The sharp angles, violet lines and a wounded body of zigzag form mirror the violent dark history of Jews in Germany. I visited this amazing building last year and it took me to a historical journey. I was so impressed by the atmosphere and way how architectural elements, lights, shadows and use of textures can affect the behavior of visitors and create visible and non-visible boundaries. You have to visit this place to experience the drama and emotional force of this extraordinary spatial configuration directly and instinctively. I decided to remodel the staircase of Jewish Museum to refresh my memories. The image is modeled in 3dsMax and rendered in Corona renderer as my first experience with Corona render engine. All your remarks and suggestions are welcome. Thank you, Wais ... https://www.behance.net/wais_arman 221390
