SketchUp's Real-Time Rendering Moment: Lumion View, AI Render, and the End of the Export Workflow

SketchUp 2025–2026 has added native PBR materials, AI image generation, and real-time rendering plugins like Lumion View, letting archviz artists produce photorealistic images without leaving the viewport. This collapses the traditional design-to-render pipeline.

The Secret Garden - Challenge 2016

Hi, I've always wanted to model one specific object, and this challenge is an excellent opportunity to do that, I think. The Secret Garden - a desolated place long forgotten or hidden from human eyes. Where man made environment with once having a purpose, now is abandoned to be reclaimed by nature once more. The main hero of this scene - an old military radio telescope. Once we went to a field trip to see it, and it always has been a great mystery to me. Part 1 - Gathering References I used PureRef application to organize references. The telescope itself: 174468 The abandoned environment: 174469
