Wood Sciences Pavilion

After the previous smooth work on the Finnish vacation house, we had a privilege to work on another interesting project from Finland. This time it was Wood Sciences Pavilion, designed by awesome architects Becker and Co, a floor to ceiling whole glass pavilion with innovative wood objects/sculptures in it. The pavilion is illuminated to highlight the architectural design and wood products visible through the glass on the interior. Pavilion is sited in Nuuksio National Park, the pine and spruce woods with snow covering as the ground material surrounding the pavilion. The main goal was to give the project Nordic feel, so covering the whole scene with snow was definetely a must. At the end it turns out to be a brilliant idea. The snow covering as environment detail has made the wooden building seem very warm and cozy and it gave to images overall quiet and calm ambience. Very Finnish.
