TMRW.se - Gasverket

Gasverket will be Stockholm's most attractive town center and a destination for shopping, culture, design and gastronomy. The old gaswork shut down 2011. After more than a century it had in various ways contributed to Stockholm residents living: from light to the city's streetlights to the heat in the home cookers. With the construction of the Stockholm Royal Seaport, one of the largest urban development projects in Europe, the old industrial area is in a whole new context. It was important to retain the old building's character but still modernize them an adapt them for new businesses. Tomorrow used photographies from the area and matched 3D to create the urban area and open up new windows and doors to show how the town center will look in the future.
