The Augustów Roundup Victims Memorial - Animation / SU+VRay+PS

https://vimeo.com/124730830 On July 1945 on the area of Suwałki Region, Poland, the Augustów roundup began. It was an elimination process of the people connected with the underground independency army, prosecuted by The Red Army. The suspects were interrogated and tortured. They were thrown into the pit filled with water, tied with a barbed wire and kept this way outside. The official death toll is at least 592. The location of the graves remains unknown for 70 years. "The Augustów Roundup Victims Memorial" project was designed by Aleksandra Cywoniuk from niuanse. It is based on an idea of architectural "emotional route", vividly illustrated in an animation made by niuanse. Belive it or not, but the animation itself was made using only SketchUp, V-Ray and Photoshop software. I wish this short-movie provoke you to pay tribute to the victims memory.
