After La Maison de Verre, I revisit Paris (not sure where this current fixation comes from) for an even more vintage building: the interior of the reading hall at the "Richelieu" branch of the French National Library, built between 1862 and 1868. Modeled in 3ds Max and rendered in V-Ray 3. Post-pro in Photoshop. One notable thing about this piece is that it makes very heavy use of Itoosoft's RailClone plugin for 3ds Max, which did a very good job of behaving predictably and flexibly. And the point-cloud viewport preview makes navigating the scene easy. I don't think I could have fit this scene in Max otherwise (not least because every book in the shelves is a high-poly model).
