SketchUp's Real-Time Rendering Moment: Lumion View, AI Render, and the End of the Export Workflow

SketchUp 2025–2026 has added native PBR materials, AI image generation, and real-time rendering plugins like Lumion View, letting archviz artists produce photorealistic images without leaving the viewport. This collapses the traditional design-to-render pipeline.

This time we are glad to introduce you to the visualization of residential house Forprosjekt. In terms of illumination rendering, we wanted to capture the momentary feeling of evening flowing into night. Of course such daytime in any case makes 3d images more appealing, but here it was also important for us to show all the home beautification and the lightning layout in particular. To produce the photorealistic feeling we used high-quality textures as we were attentive to the reflective surfaces of the surrounding objects such as cars and glass.

Software: 3dsmax, Corona Renderer, Photoshop
