This project is titled "Hunting Fairies," and in addition to being inspired by the images submitted, it was also inspired in a large part by the 1997 film, "A Fairy Tale: Aro". The film chronicles the ture life experiences of two young girls who captured photographs of actual fairies in Britain in the 1930's or 1940's. The photos were analyzed by experts at Kodak and could not be proven to be fakes, but were also not verified as genuine because Kodak just wasn't prepared to prove the existence of fairies. So this garden has a secret, and its that fairies live here. I began working on this project the day it was announced back in October and did not finish until January 17th at or around the deadline. So, to say I put in a great many hours working on this image would be understating it quite a bit, although I did not keep a tab on the hours spent. I really hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed the creation process.
Software: The software used was primarily 3ds Max and a little bit of Cinema 4D, and Carrera. Plug-ins used include a hefty dose of iToo's Forest Pack, A3d Tree script for modelling trees, as well as pre-made trees and plants by Evermotion and CGAxis. I also used
