Concrete park

Hi, This is a study of reconstruction of an old swimming pool in Slovakia. The whole pool is from concrete blocks and has a specific shape. The border walls are skew, so people can enter direct to the water from any side. The water is not so deep and people can cross the pool from one point to another by foot. And the whole place is surrounded by nature. But nowadays it´s in bad condition. Interesting is, that the pool covers a large area and after summer it´s quite abandoned and strange place. So, I have made a decision to study it and bring some new look to it, but mainly, create something that brings attention to it, so people would occupy the place after season. I put a new layer of concrete and transform it, so it creates new shapes, islands, slides and platforms for people to relax. But, after summer, when the water comes out, another conditions can take place. It´s designed as a large skatepark and bikepark. So for the rest of the year, people can enjoy this pool as a park. It´s really fun to play with shapes and sculpt it, so it can be suitable for both activities. Also, it can bring to the place an unique architecture. Enjoy
