Reclaimed

I love the idea of reclamation, of repurposing something and creating something completely new. My scene is that of a piece of a ship, an engine that has been discarded, and is now being used as shelter. The vessel it came from, forgotten and abandoned in the jungle and mountainside beyond. I love the work of the concept artist Ideun Kim, and was inspired by their work. I tried to represent the idea in a different way and add my own interpretation. I was also inspired by an image my friend Robin Walker showed me while we were in the pub.
