The Reckoning

"And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts And I looked, and behold a pale horse And his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with him". For this CGI I very much wanted to recreate a film scene - rather than a photo from reality. Concentrating on a directors use of composition, lighting and colour to tell the story. I've drawn heavily here on David Fincher - in particular his early work for George Micheal and his 'Freedom' video. It was important for me to also create a plausible seedy London bar and so I have added many traditional features of such an establishment. Software used was 3dsMax with Vray and Railclone. All post was done within the Vray Frame Buffer. So this is very much a 'clean render'. Any 3d items not modelled by myself are from Chaos Cosmos or Evermotion's Modern Home and Evermotion's Furniture Sets. And some random old 3d hair - source unknown.
