Secret Rooftop Garden

Hi all! I'm very excited about this new challenge, the theme is really interesting and I look forward to see all the entries!! Good luck everyone!! I had a long brainstorming before coming up with an idea, but since the beginning I wanted to show in my image a special private space, accessible only for a few people, a green and cozy place in the middle of a big metropolis. That's why at the end I decided to focus on a very specific kind of places, the rooftop gardens in London, the City where I live. The first thing I always think about before starting a new image, is finding some good references, which could be found in everything, photography, other cgis, paintings, illustrations etc. But how to find a good reference? I think we could say that a good reference is the one which can communicate a very similar emotion you want your image to communicate. I usually search for different types of references: some for the composition, some for the lighting, some for the general atmosphere and some for the colour palette. In this way I’m pretty sure that my image is gonna be exactly how I want it to be at the end. These are some of the images I used as references :)
