The Carpenter

The Carpenter is a recluse who feels a certain nostalgia for the old ways of working with his hands. His recent and sudden fascination with crafting wooden prosthetics has kept him indoors and working obsessively for weeks. I was trying to create a feeling of nostalgia and mystery with this image. Most of the colors are browns, white, grey, etc. to produce a warm feeling. The person who lives and works here would be quite strange, but inviting and friendly. Modeled in 3ds Max, rendered with V-Ray, touched up in Photoshop.
