New Chinatown

Thought I'd share our latest film at Uniform for New Chinatown! We produced a series of still images, and a short film for New Chinatown in Liverpool, UK, the first job we've done for our home city in many years, and interestingly, Liverpool's Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in Europe! The architects BLOK took their inspiration for the architecture from the traditional Chinese dragon, so we did the same, developing a stylised, geometric dragon that became a strong and powerful identity. We collaborated with local composers to create a bespoke and atmospheric soundtrack that played an integral part in creating a visceral film, taking inspiration from traditional Chinese culture whilst adding a contemporary twist and pace to pay homage to the dragon. 152589443 Link: https://vimeo.com/152589443 158520158516158515158519158517158518
