Whola Lotta Loft! - Challenge 2015 - AndyP

Hello all, As the initial post I thought I would outline my concept/art direction for the project before launching. I'm looking forward to getting to the research and design of an interesting loft space but I have long held the thought that what makes spaces interesting is not just the space but the way in which people choose to occupy it. When I was younger I had a book that my parents gave me called the 'Ultimate Alphabet' by Mike Wilks. It was a collection of 26 paintings, each for a different letter of the alphabet, depicting a scene that contained nothing but things starting with that letter. The scenes were quite dream-like and surreal but were packed full of interesting items, usually with an overriding theme. So for this challenge I will be producing a loft scene paying homage to the ultimate alphabet, chosing the letter e for Evermotion of course :). It will perhaps be home to Ernest the eccentric engineer who perhaps eats emmental while drinking erdinger and wearing earmuffs, and while the design and feel of the space will be important, the occupation of it will be the real beauty of it. As a final side note on the project, I will of course have a final list of all the things in the scene that begin with E. Anyone looking at the scene can set themselves the challenge of finding as many things beginning with E as they possibly can, and once the competition is over I will reveal the answers - a competition within a competition, for a bit of fun. :) For reference, here is the Ultimate Alphabet letter S. I don't know if I will have time to go to this extreme, but who knows. Good luck everyone! 145602
