Tatra M290 Slovenska strela

Summer 1936, railway station Ustí nad Orlicí. A brand new Tatra M290 train has just finished a test drive, during which it broke the Czechoslovak railway speed record, setting a new one at 148 kph. The drive took place during a regular railway schedule. Tatra engineers in black suits are discussing the technical details of the test performed. Tatra is a non-commercial project that formed from a collaboration of Jan Hrebíček and Ondřej Červinka. Both authors are fascinated by the story of this Czechoslovakian car maker and in this ongoing venture will try to visualise it’s most interesting concepts.
