Edge of nature

When I first saw the model for this challenge, I immediately imagined it standing alone in untouched nature. I was drawn to the contrast between precise, modern architecture and a living, unpredictable environment. From that idea, the entire scene began to grow. I placed the building by a quiet forest lake and built the surrounding landscape to feel calm, almost meditative. But I didn’t want the world to remain still. I wanted the weather to tell part of the story. Overcast light, distant thunder, and subtle flashes of lightning slowly changing the mood became a way to add tension and life to an otherwise peaceful setting. Clean lines and large open windows look out over the raw landscape, blurring the boundary between inside and outside. For me, this contrast represents our constant desire to move closer to nature, while still shaping it through architecture. The large windows are not only for design, but a symbolic gesture, an attempt to bring the outside in. Tools used: 3DS Max, Fstorm, Forestpack, Quixel Assets, DaVinci Resolve
