The gateway

We often view old buildings as artifacts to be preserved, striving to maintain them in a state as close to their original form as possible. However, these structures often evolve over time—adapting, changing, and accumulating layers of history that reflect their interaction with the modern context. They may not always appear pristine or solemn from every angle, but this transformation is part of their story. To truly appreciate their essence, it’s crucial to uncover the enduring beauty that lies beneath these layers of temporary alterations. This perspective was inspired by the gateway of a building constructed in 1904. The visualization was created using 3ds Max, Quixel Megascans, and Photoshop, combined with personally developed models to achieve authenticity and depth.
