At the peak of the refugee crisis in Europe, one million people arrived from Africa and the Middle East. Temporary bottleneck camps formed at places like Calais by the English Channel, where refugees who reached Europe tried to move on to the few countries considered to provide the best conditions for a new life. Populist leaders took advantage of the crisis, and borders across Europe closed down. This idea project deals with the closure of the Öresund Strait bridge - the connection between Sweden and the rest of Europe, and what happened to the people trapped on the bridge.
