NOAH 2140

”By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." Hebrews 11:7 / 2140: The populations of the southern hemisphere face the greatest loss of flora and fauna due to the numerous fires caused by groundwater pollution and carbon dioxide emissions. The plan to safeguard protected species includes the construction of capsules to protect and relocate them to the new Australian colonies on the planet Mars. But the project is ambitious, and time and money are short. Once again, humans are late: the project is abandoned because of the indomitable fires, the last hopes lost. / From the artist: One of the main reference during the creation of the image is the movie "Still life" directed by Jia Zhangke. I would love to share with you the comment from the director which I think is most related to the first part of my artistic development for this image: "Although time has left deep marks on it, it still remains silent and holds the secrets of life. I entered this condemned city with my camera and I witnessed demolitions and explosions. In the roaring noise and fluttering dust, I gradually felt that life really could blossom in brilliant colors even in a place with such desperation. Still Life tutors us in the art of letting go.” / Modeled with Sketchup and 3Ds max, rendered with V-Ray, Evermotion and Maxtree Assets, Postproduction in Photoshop CC
