FINAL ENTRY

First i want to say thanks to Dani for the support and help.
The image is a from the Trinity Collage Library in Dublin, Ireland. The main idea at the beginning was to make a really detail and cosy mood.
I spend really long time modeling. A lot of lofts was involved in the task. After all I hope that looks good to all of you.
Great competition and really strong threads.

For building the project I used:

Autodesk 3ds max 2009
Chaos Group V-Ray 1.5
Adobe Photoshop CS3
Adobe After Effects CS4

Modeling:
All the modeling is done by me except the books (ready models form internet) and the stone statue

Texturing:
Arroway textures
tweaking a bit the book textures

Rendering:
V-Ray 1.5

Adobe Photoshop CS3
Adobe After Effects CS4

This is coming together nicely. The clay render looks very clean despite the many small details. What settings are you using to get such a detailed, splotchless look.

Hi Bertrandb, thanks for the comment. About the settings - nothing special. The clay mat is with VRay dirt in the diffuse channel with 15 subdivs and for the render settings I just bump up a little the IRR and also the LC.Thats all. As I said nothing special.

How has modeling, or modeling technique used for the ornamentation of the columns?
I think the result is very good ...

Hi markonens, thanks for the comment.
Well for example the leafs are made from a plane with edge extrude, then shell to make thickness and then turbosmooth. Thats all. You can try it
