    a walk in zhejiang

    here are some scenes base from actual place in zhejiang china..finally finished it. done on my free time, spending it almost 3-4 hours per week.well i hope you guys will like it.
    MAX - vray - LR 1.4 (credits for cgtextures.com for some of the textures used in the scenes)

    wow, that's a very very nice work. i love the mood of it. Especially number3.
    As much as I totally fall for number 1, the water is just incoscistent with the high quality texturing you have in the rest of the scene.
    I've been to zhejiang and I think the problem is that your water texture looks too clean whereas in zhejiang as in any river town in china, the water stinks and reeks. If you could add some petrol stains here and there, dirt all around especially where the water hits the buildings it'd be a lot better.

    in pic number three (my favorite) your chinese bike looks way too clean. I've ridden one of those all around china where i used to live and if you take a close look to these typical chinese bikes, they are totally destroyed, rust in every single piece, the tires are absolutely flat and have no print whatsoever and they are alwasy full of dirt and missing parts. your spokes are too shiny they should be distorted and dirty.

    hope this helps, these images are already amazing but they have the potential to be top of the line 3d's.

    could you post some wireframes?

    wow...gr8 making....how do u do those normal and displacement maps...do u use crazy bump ? can u tell us how did u do that procedural mapping..its very nice..
