Evermotion Fryrender contest

The theme of contest is to make a model and rendering.
You need to render a scene, using Fryrender
demo in 800x600 px resolution.

It can be any model, or group of models, but not bigger than size 30x30x30 cm.

You need to use Displacement and SSS.

You can use all options of render, dof, bloom, glow, dispersion, caustic, ... etc.

Here is a fryrender scene that you can use if you want SCENE

You can't use Photoshop retouch.

The founder of competition is Feversoft, which has assigned a license as a prize for competition winner.
You need to place your scenes with proper signature on forum, in contest section, till 15th October 2007.
Jury will choose winner in 22th October 2007.

PS. napisze po polsku na koniec hehe , kazdy model poprostu moze byc potraktowany jako zabawka w grafice. Dlatego to chyba nie ma sensu bez glebszego objasnienia

Fryrender is physically-based render so units have sense...but if you want to make Statue of Liberty and then resise it to something about 30x30x30cm that's ok by me.

can't get Fry to run. Downloaed and copied dlr into plugins folder. Doesn't show up on the engin list.

fryrender crashes when I render a preview of my material.. does anybody know how to solve this?

I want to take a part with this competition but I have a problem. They offer Fryrender version only on 32bit . I have 64 bit operating system...

it's not a problem fryrender runs well on 64bit systems..just use 32bit version of 3dsmax.

Hi! I tried your Fryrender_scene you provide here on page 1.
Sorry, but it is not efficient :

All the scene is in a box, it is useless, and produces infinite light bounces
The box emitter on left is a nonsense, like the cylinder one on the right : why do you use such geometries, instead of simple planes? and take care with the intersections!!!
The cloth is pretty nice, but pretty heavy too!

Is it a trap-scene?

scnene isn't that great becouse it was one of my first scenes in fry :/...
Maybe I'll make another one without heavy geometry and will make it more efficient.
It is not any kind of a trap scene, if you don't like it you can always create your own

I have one questions, its maybe seems stupid but it is possible to take a modeling to my friends for my rendering with fryrender.
