When opening an Iray or Mental Ray based scene file in 3ds Max, the Scene Converter opens by default.
To disable the Scene Converter on file open:
At the bottom of the Scene Converter dialog box, clear the box for the option Open Scene Converter on file open when missing legacy plug-ins.
